Do you often use YouTube in both your personal and professional space? You can see that browsing YouTube during work is much more challenging than using it on a personal level. The business environment requires you to keep in mind the right content research, keyboard shortcuts, video link settings, etc.

In this blog MyTek gives you some great YouTube tips to effectively use it for your business.

Right Way to Use the Keyboard Shortcuts

With keyboard shortcuts, you can better navigate through the YouTube video. It will save you time and enhance your work efficiency.

Some keyboard shortcut techniques that you can try out are:

  1. Press the zero key to go to the beginning of the video.
  2. Rewind or fast-forward your videos using the arrow keys. The keys are programmed to go five secs, forward or backward. But, when you hold down the Ctrl key, you can increase the time to ten secs.
  3. While using YouTube in your presentation slide, pause/resume your video by clicking the space bar/K key. Use the Up/Down arrow keys to adjust your video volume. Also, to unmute/mute the video, use the M key.

Change the Starting Point of Your Video

While playing the YouTube video, you may choose to start playing it from any particular point. You can do this by altering the link to the video.

Let’s take an example.

Consider a sample YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jfnA7UmlZkE

Now, select the Start at option from the Share menu. Then, you can automatically select the point at which you want to start the video.

Make Use of Search Filters to Enhance Your Results

If you don’t find the video you are looking for, feel free to use the advanced search filters option. For example, you can search using parameters like video duration, playlists, channels, etc.

With YouTube, you can create several videos to connect with your target audience. Do you use other YouTube tips in any specific way that we haven’t listed? Feel free to let us know in the comments below.
