It’s easy to get distracted by all of the great possibilities when it comes to implementing new technology solutions. It’s also easy to miss all of the challenges that this change represents. The cloud mitigation process is one change that brings along amazing improvements to your technology but there are also a ton of repercussions that this mitigation could bring along. Today, we’re going to talk about the challenges that surround the cloud and how we can help you work through them.

Security

One of the most noteworthy and biggest issues that come with cloud mitigation is issues with security, and when you think about it, it’s easy to understand why this may be. The cloud is an online environment that you are now letting your data and applications live in. This means that you’ll need to assess what kind of cloud has the best fit for your security needs and figure out how it can be accessed and stored.

One major example is the difference between the private and public cloud. While the public cloud might make accessibility and ease best for your company, the private cloud has better security options. The public cloud, traditionally, doesn’t allow for the security solutions that a private one will.

Compatibility

Before going through the cloud mitigation process, you will need to make sure that your applications and software will be able to run the same way they did before. Are your applications compatible and user-friendly in a cloud setting? Does the cloud have enough bandwidth for some of your bigger applications? Is the convenience of the cloud worth the funds that may need to go toward storage?

Scalability

Speaking of storage, how easy will it be for you to add more storage, more users, more features, and other aspects to your cloud-based solutions? You will need to have an understanding of how to make these changes before mitigating the cloud.

If you are unsure about the cloud mitigation process, MyTek can help. We can even do all of the work for you, so your business can keep on track. Reach out today at 623-312-2444.
